Woodshop 101 class for ages 12+,
Our Woodshop 101 class is designed to teach teens practical skills, tool safety, and problem-solving through real woodworking projects. Over 6 weeks, students will build projects like a frame and cutting board, all in a safe and engaging environment.
Class Time: Mondays, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Cost: $200 for 6 weeks
Session: January 6, 2025 to February 10, 2025
Location: Little Elm
What will students learn?
Safety Practices: Important safety measures
Tool Use: Safe use of common woodworking tools and developing coordination
Wood Selection: Choosing the right wood for projects
Shaping & Joining: Basic techniques for shaping and joining wood
Problem-Solving & Spatial Awareness: Turning ideas into real objects
Machine Safety: Safe use of machinery
Projects include making a Frame and a Cutting Board, while learning the basics of woodworking tools and safety protocols.
